Wastewater Plant Operator
The Broken Bow Public Works Authority is accepting applications for the position of Wastewater Plant Operator. This position reports to the Public Works Director and indirectly to the City Manager. Candidate is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the city's wastewater treatment facility to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Duties Include:
•Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment, pumps, and systems.
•Monitor plant performance through sampling, testing, and data analysis.
•Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
•Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
•Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required.
•Respond to emergency situations as needed.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED required.
•Valid Oklahoma driver’s license required.
•Class D Wastewater Operator License preferred (or the ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).
•Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, mechanical systems, and laboratory testing procedures is a plus.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
