OML Training and Education
The Oklahoma Municipal League (OML) is the state’s leader in providing essential and valuable educational opportunities to our municipal professionals and staff personnel.
The goal of the education program is to meet the needs of all municipal staff and employees as they strive to best serve their communities. To accomplish this, OML staff organizes and manages dozens of educational and training events throughout the state.
In addition, OML staff organizes both the annual Mayors Summer Conference and membership conference and exposition.
Our educational opportunities cover a wide array of municipal subjects, including:
Budgeting
Ethics
Leadership development
Responsibilities of Mayors and Council members
Economic development
Public Safety
Code Enforcement
Communications
Open meetings/open records
Internal controls
While these workshops are open to OML members and non-members alike, OML members can attend any of these events at a reduced price.
