Description: The aim of the BoatUS Foundation is to reduce accidents and fatalities, increase stewardship of U.S. waterways, and keep boating a safe and enjoyable pastime. The Foundation’s Grassroots Grants Program provides grants for creative and innovative projects that promote safe and clean boating on local waterways. Past topics have ranged from PSAs on the effects of boating under the influence to hands-on education about the effects of marine debris. Local, regional, and national nonprofit organizations as well as boating clubs, environmental organizations, and student groups are eligible to apply.
