Oklahoma Municipal League Elects New Members To The Board of Directors
The Oklahoma Municipal League Board of Directors have recently selected new members to join the Board of Directors.
The new members selected by the Board are:
Will Joyce, Mayor of Stillwater – District 5
Joyce Calvert, Mayor of Glenpool – District 6
Nikki Lloyd, Mayor of Bethany – District 8
“We are excited to add these outstanding municipal leaders to our Board,” said Ray Poland, Mayor of Jones and President of the OML Board of Directors. “The OML Board is fortunate to have strong leadership from across Oklahoma, and we appreciate the perspective the new members will bring to our organization.”
Mayor Will Joyce was elected to his first term as Mayor of Stillwater in April 2018 and was reelected in February 2022. He was originally elected to the Stillwater City Council in April 2016.
Mayor Joyce currently serves as General Counsel at InterWorks, a Stillwater-based, global technology consulting firm. He also serves on the board at Stillwater Medical and as a Deacon at University Heights Baptist Church. He was named Stillwater’s 2020 Citizen of the Year by the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce.
Mayor Joyce Calvert was elected as Mayor of Glenpool in April 2021. Mayor Calvert was first elected to the Glenpool City Council in April 2019.
Prior to her elected service, Mayor Calvert served as a member of Glenpool’s Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment for 10 years. Mayor Calvert has more than 40 years of experience in real estate property, marketing and sales, title and title issues, abstracting issues, appraisals, and wholesale lending. She also is a member of the Board of Directors for the Indian Nations Council of Governments, a member of Cities United and the Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors.
Mayor Nikki Lloyd was elected as Mayor of Bethany in February of 2021.
Mayor Lloyd owned and operated a small business for five years and prior to that spent 15 years in State and Municipal Government. Mayor Lloyd is an active community volunteer and was appointed to the Oklahoma Route 66 Centennial Commission by Governor Kevin Stitt, serves on the Oklahoma Advisory Committee for the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and is a Board Member of the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments.
