Oklahoma Municipal Retirement Fund Announces Winner of Annual George Wilkinson Annual Award
Oklahoma City, OK - Jodi Cox, Executive Director and CEO of the Oklahoma Municipal Retirement Fund (OkMRF) attended the City of Sulphur’s council meeting on August 9, 2021, to present the George Wilkinson annual award to this year's outstanding authorized agent whose performance of duties is exemplary.
Cox explained to the Sulphur City Council that George Wilkinson showed true dedication and served on the OkMRF Board of Trustees for thirty-four (34) years. He served with the utmost of honor and integrity. His primary focus was to always be mindful of the plan participant's best interest. Mr. Wilkinson retired from the OkMRF Board in 2016 and was named Trustee Emeritus. Sadly, George, passed away in January of 2017. Cox stated, “In my heart, I know that our beloved George will continue to keep a watchful eye over our organization forevermore!”
This year’s recipient was selected from a pool of 235 state-wide authorized agent candidates.
With great pleasure OkMRF announced the 2021 George Wilkinson award winner is the Sulphur City Clerk, Shannon Couch. Shannon portrays all of Wilkinson’s attributes. She strives to serve her coworkers with the highest regard and best customer service. She keeps a watchful eye over Sulphur’s retirement plans and the pension benefits offered to Sulphur employees. Her kindness and dedication to the welfare of her employees has rightfully earned her this esteemed award!
