Oklahoma City, OK – The Mayor’s Council of Oklahoma (MCO), in partnership with the Oklahoma Municipal League (OML) has elected Amber Mayor, Craig Parham as President and Norman Mayor, Breea Clark as Vice-President for the 2021 term.

Parham, a 1982 graduate of Chickasha High School, owns and operates Parham Tile USA. He began his community service as a town council member in 1999 and has served as the volunteer mayor since 2001. During his time as mayor, the town of Amber has grown its general fund from $50,000 to $2 million. Parham has overseen many projects throughout the town, including the construction of a new community center, town administrative offices, cemetery, water tower and sewage system. Also, he has helped to facilitate the expansion and better equipped fire department, as well as a new high school, which was built by bonds voted on by the citizens.

Clark was elected mayor of Norman in 2019 after serving three years as the Ward 6 council member. As Norman’s 60th mayor, she serves as a member of the OML Board of Directors and the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments Board of Directors. In 2015 she was recognized as a Norman Next Under 40 recipient and in 2018 was the first woman to receive the Shadow & Act award from the Ralph Ellison Foundation. Also, in 2018 she was recognized as one of 50 women making a difference in Oklahoma, and in 2019 she was named one of Cleveland County’s Women of Influence.

Since serving on the city council, Mayor Clark has championed sustainability issues through her support of the Ready for 100 initiative, grown community partnerships and increased citizen engagement, fought for local control, and worked to build a truly inclusive community.

“We are very excited to work with both Mayor Parham and Mayor Clark during this upcoming year. Both mayors have exhibited strong leadership skills that will be important as we continue to enhance the goals and objectives of the MCO,” said Mike Fina, Executive Director of OML.
