2020 Winner of the George Wilkinson Award - Laura Anderson
Jodi Cox, Executive Director and CEO of the Oklahoma Municipal Retirement Fund (OkMRF) attended the City of Mustang’s council meeting on September 1, 2020, to present the George Wilkinson annual award to this year's outstanding authorized agent whose performance of duties is exemplary.
Cox explained to the Mustang City Council that George Wilkinson showed true dedication and served on the OkMRF Board of Trustees for thirty-four (34) years. He served with the utmost of honor and integrity. His primary focus was to always be mindful of the plan participant's best interest. Mr. Wilkinson retired from the OkMRF Board in 2016 and was named Trustee Emeritus. Sadly, George, passed away in January of 2017. Cox stated, “In my heart, I know that our beloved George will continue to keep a watchful eye over our organization forevermore!”
This year’s recipient was selected from a pool of 231 state-wide authorized agent candidates.
With great pleasure, the Oklahoma Municipal Retirement Fund (OkMRF) has announced the 2020 George Wilkinson Award winner is Laura Anderson, Human Resource Director the city of Mustang. According to OkMRF, Laura portrays all of Wilkinson’s attributes, as she strives to serve her co-workers with the highest regard and her customers with the best customer service possible. She also keeps a watchful eye over Mustang’s retirement plans and the pension benefits offered to the city’s employees. Her kindness and dedication has earned her this esteemed award.
