ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Juvenile Compliance Officer I oversees juvenile delinquent cases in the Municipal Court. They work directly with juvenile clients and their parents, collaborate with external parties, and maintain documentation for their cases.
QUALIFICATIONS
-High school diploma or GED equivalent
-Broad knowledge of social work, criminal justice, court services, or related fields equivalent to a college degree
-4 years of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
-Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Manage case flows from intake through disposition
-Supervise and monitor juveniles on probation
-Maintain accurate and current documentation for each case
-Maintain contact with the assigned youth and conduct visits with them and their family
-Conduct preliminary inquiries on all referred juveniles
-Formulate probation plans for assigned juveniles
-Collaborate with various community organizations and agencies to determine community needs
-Work with school officials, School Resource Officers (SROs), and other referring agencies
-Attend all court hearings associated with the youth's term of probation with a written summary report and verbal testimony when required
-Participate in staff meetings and training
NECESSARY SKILLS
-Ability to master specialized software programs
-Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position
-Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug and audio screenings
