Additional ARPA funds
Separate from the ARPA funds for municipalities, the State of Oklahoma received 1.87 billion in ARPA funds. The legislature has voted to send these funds to various large projects submitted to the state portal and to Oklahoma agencies for further disbursement. In total, 17.9 billion in project funding requests were submitted to the state portal
WATER AND SEWER FUNDS
50 million of the State ARPA funds were sent to OWRB for disbursement. Municipalities can apply for these funds on the OWRB website before the November 30th deadline here: https://www.owrb.ok.gov/financing/grant/arpa.php
Note: If your municipality had previously submitted a water or wastewater project under the state portal, the project must be resubmitted with all supporting documentation requested to OWRB via the OWRB ARPA webpage.
The 50 million will be allocated as follows.
5 million for pre-selected dam rehabilitation projects;
$20 million for water/wastewater projects by communities with a population greater than 7,000 or to rural water districts with more than 2,300 non-pasture taps
Funding is limited to $2 million per applicant
Requires a 50% cost share
$25 million for water/wastewater projects by communities with a population of 7,000 or less or to rural water districts with less than 2,300 non-pasture taps
Funding is limited to $1 million per applicant

COUNTY AND TRIBAL GOVERNMENT ARPA FUNDS:
Additionally, counties and tribal Governments across Oklahoma can give a portion of their Allotted ARPA funds to municipalities for specific projects. If you would like information on how your municipality can request ARPA funds from your county or a tribal government, please email arpa@oml.org.
