The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for an Communications Coordinator in the IT Department. The incumbent directs, manages, and coordinates the activities and operations of the City's communication systems as they relate to Information Systems including the subscribers of the state OKWIN system, VHF/UHF systems, NexEdge 800 MHz system; ensures critical communication systems function efficiently and effectively on a 24/7 basis; coordinates assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies, and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to all other departments. In addition, the Communications Coordinator facilitates the needs of all city employees by completing requests submitted through the IT work request system and is assigned projects or to a project team. Must have Federal Emergency Management Agency's NIMS 700 and ICS 100 and 200 courses. High school graduate with minimum COMT certification, COML preferred. This position is extremely technical and requires minimum 3-5 years of experience. Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver license and be insurable. Preferred certificates, licenses, and/or registrations: Minimum COMT, COML NIMS ICS 100, NIMS ICS 200, NIMS ICS-700. Starting Salary: $28.6592-$30.3456/HR. with benefits.
