In May 2022, the Oklahoma Legislature passed SB429 appropriating $50 million in state ARPA funds to the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) to establish grant programs for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The law requires OWRB to establish rules and procedures for the development of the grant programs.

The Mayors Council of Oklahoma recently held their annual Summer Conference in Durant. At their monthly board meeting held on June 21st, they elected two new members to the MCO Board of Directors.
