The Luther Police Department is now accepting applications to fill
Full Time School Resource Officer Position
 
We are currently accepting applications for a Full-Time Police Officer (SRO). The Officer must be a self-starter with a good work ethic. Officer must also be a team player. Must be able to work alone and in a small community.

Qualifications to fill this position include, but are not limited to:

• CLEET certification preferred, but not required
• If Reserve certified, must be able to pass and complete the bridge academy
• Must be 21 years or older and a U.S. Citizen.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED certificate
• Have no felony or major misdemeanor convictions and no pending criminal charges.
• Have no involvement with illicit drugs use or abuse.
• Have no arrests for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence within the past 5 years (DUI or DWI).
• No convictions of crimes of moral turpitude or domestic violence
• No reckless driving violations in the past 5 years
• Must have a high degree of ethical standards and moral character.
• Must have sound judgment and interpersonal skills.
• Must be community oriented.
• Must be able to work when needed, days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to perform police duties without any physical limitations or special accommodations.
• Must pass background investigation, drug screening test, and psychological assessment test.
