Budget Process Workshop Held in Midwest City
This past week, OML held its first monthly municipal educational workshop, entitled the Budget Process, at Rose State College. Marcy Twyman, CPA, Crawford & Associates, PC was the featured speaker for the day teaching over 80 OML members all about the budget process.
First-time OML workshop attendee, David A. Rhoades, City Administrator from Okeene, said that the workshop presented by Ms. Twyman was A+ rated. “The material was organized in an easy to understand format that flowed from developing a formal budget policy to budget funding and amending budgets. This was an excellent class and I look forward to attending more workshops offered by OML,” Rhoades said.
“Marcy’s effective delivery of budgetary knowledge made what appears to be a complex process simple and easy to understand. This was a great workshop for any city employee who is responsible for the public’s money,” Eddie Holland, Police Chief, city of Elk City said.
The next monthly educational workshop, Quality Communities – Quality of Life, is scheduled for February 8 at Rose State College.
